Can I choose where I want to live?
Wecare Au Pair encourages au pairs to choose a host family that best suits you. The family that you join is more important then your location. You should be flexible in choosing your location to find a host family quickly.
Will I be accepted as an au-pair if the only experience that I have is babysitting?
The more experience you have, the better chances of placement; however, there are other qualities that are important for placement such as maturity, a sense of responsibility, an interest in cultural enrichment, and a genuine desire to take care of children.
Am I guaranteed a visa with Au Pair Today?
No. While Wecare Au Pair does provide you with the necessary paperwork and supports each au pair during the visa process, Wecare Au Pair cannot guarantee that and au pair will obtain a visa. The decision to grant a visa is entirely up to the Netherlands Embassy.
Can I be an au pair for a Host family I already know?
Yes. Then both parties , au pair and host family must meet the requirements of Wecare Au Pair procedure, and must apply with Wecare Au Pair and will remain the normal screening process.
Can I be an au pair to other children or get another job for additional money?
No, it is a violation of Department of State regulations for an au pair to work outside of the au pair contract. It will result in early dismissal from the contract, Which means that you will be returning home to your own country a.s.a.p.

Yes this is correct. They will be selected based on their specific experience with the going limitation of 30 hours/week & light household duties.
How long can the Au Pair stay in the Netherlands?
The au pair can stay for one year exactly. After one year exactly the au pair have to return. However visa extension is possible if requested 3 months ahead by host family (seeIND regulations).
Is it correct that we have to write a "Dear Au Pair letter", If yes what do we have to write?
Yes that is correct. The host family will write a "Dear Au Pair letter" in English to the au pair. This will contain information about your family. You can write about your jobs, family interests, and a short introduction of each family member. It would be nice to write about what your family have to offer to the au pair and what the au pair can expect in the Netherlands and in the family.
We found it important that our Au Pair have social contacts in the Netherlands. Does Wecare Au Pair contribute in this?
Yes, Wecare Au Pair will contribute with this. Wecare Au Pair thinks it very important that the au pair has a lot of social contacts. Within 2 weeks after the au pair arrives in the Netherlands she will receive a contact list from Wecare Au pair which contains the contact information of au pairs, already in the Netherlands via Wecare Au pair.
We know someone in the Philippines and we would like that person to be our au pair. Is this possible?
Yes this is possible. The host family and the au pair have to register with Wecare Au pair and on the host family request we can screen and interview the au pair to be sure that the au pair is qualified. The procedure remains the same and both parties has to follow Wecare Au pair requirements and conditions.
